Glasgow is our home office. The work isn't bounded by the city — we run motorcycle accident cases the length of Scotland from this base, and have done for years.
The Glasgow office
Gildeas Solicitors, West Regent Street, central Glasgow. Walking distance from Queen Street and Central. Direct on-street parking is limited; the Concert Hall multi-storey is the closest paid option.
We're not precious about meetings. Coffee, kitchen-table chats at home, evening calls — fine. The first conversation is the most important one, and it doesn't matter where it happens.
We act for riders the length of Scotland
Being based in Glasgow doesn't make us a Glasgow firm. We run cases for clients in the Highlands, Islands, Aberdeenshire, Fife, the Borders, the West Coast and everywhere between. Scotland is one jurisdiction; we serve all of it. If you can't travel to us, we'll come to you.
Where the medical care or court venue makes Glasgow the obvious centre — for example, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital is the recognised spinal-injury centre and the £5.9M case in our results was run through it — that's a useful coincidence, not a limit.
Courts & jurisdiction
Since 2015, any personal injury claim worth more than £5,000 in Scotland can be raised in Edinburgh's All-Scotland Personal Injury Court (ASPIC). Below that threshold, local sheriff courts have jurisdiction. Higher-value and complex serious-injury cases proceed in the Court of Session. Stephen leads the case strategy across all three court levels; we instruct Faculty of Advocates counsel for the higher-court advocacy.
