Edinburgh's road environment is different from Glasgow's — fewer motorway miles, more cobbled streets, more bus lanes, more surface variability in the city centre. Our east-coast office gives us walking-distance access to the Court of Session and a base for cases the length of Scotland.

Court of Session work

Higher-value and complex serious-injury cases proceed in the Court of Session in Parliament House, Edinburgh. Our Edinburgh office is short walking distance from Parliament Square. Stephen leads the case strategy on Court of Session work from this office; Faculty of Advocates counsel handle the courtroom advocacy.

We act for riders the length of Scotland

Being based in Edinburgh doesn't make us an Edinburgh firm. We run cases for clients across the Lothians, Fife, the Borders, the East Coast, the Highlands, the Islands and everywhere between. Scotland is one jurisdiction; we serve all of it. If you can't travel to us, we'll come to you.

Surface-defect claims under the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 — including against Scottish Borders Council, the City of Edinburgh Council and other roads authorities — are routine territory for us. Cobbled-street slip incidents and junction collisions are recognised heads of claim where the facts support it.
